The Word of God
The study of the Holy Scripture is our sole authority for righteous living
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV) All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Prayer, Praise and Worship
Prayer is communication with God, praise is our response to what God does for us, and worship is our acknowledgement of who God is to us.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV) Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Love (Charity, Caring, and Giving)
We express God’s love by sharing our time, talents, and possessions with others to bless God’s people. 1 Corinthians 13:12-13 (NIV) For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Commitment to Christ’ Church
We commit our lives to Christ through fellowship, assembly, communion, and discipleship. Acts 2:42 (NIV) They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Abundant Life
We embrace the promise of Jesus Christ that gives us a fulfilled life of purpose.
John 10:10 (NIV) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
God’s Standard
Excellence is God’s standard for all believers that brings glory to God in our living.
Colossians 3:17 (NIV) And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Ministry Impact
Pleasant Baptist Church assignment by God through
Preaching – We preach the uncompromised, unadulterated Word of God to plant authoritative seeds in people’s hearts that can renew, restore, deliver, heal and transform their lives.
Teaching – We offer biblically based teaching of God’s Word that takes root in the hearts of people that produce knowledge and understanding of the Word of God.
Worship – We are commanded as believers to enter into His gates with thanksgiving and enter His courts with praise in thankful worship that incorporates the whole person, spiritually, mentally, and physically
Prayer – We believe in the power of prayer through the Word of God to receive grace and healing physically, mentally, and emotionally
Discipleship – We teach believers to become disciples so that believers may learn from others and continue to grow in Christ through group and one-on-one meetings.
Evangelism/Outreach – We emphasize the importance of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ souls to win souls to the Kingdom of God, in addition to providing opportunities for people to reach our community through diverse outreach programs.
Fellowship – We urge believers to fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ so that believers may bond with one another through shared experiences that bring knowledge and restoration.
Volunteer Service – We encourage believers the opportunity to volunteer their time, talents and resources that will increase and strengthen the body of Christ.
